This is the place in which the chemical engineer of the factories worked in
the second half of the 20th century. The control of the proportion between metals
in the alloys, as well as in their baths and patinas, requiered rigorous tests
and knowledge based of proven experiencies.
Before its restoration the state of this room was deplorable: broken
glasses and materials, moisture in the walls… an unjustifiable state for this
important heritage. The lack of bars on the lower windows of the entire
building led to looting for years and caused the bad state in which the factory
was found before starting the restoration works. A recreation of the laboratory
has been made as it should have been at the time, with the original tools.
