In this chamber the processes of polished and
re-polished were located, as part of the final finished stage for the different
metal pieces. Before the refurbishing works this chamber was
highly deteriorated, mainly because of the several leaks that were ruining the
original ceiling. Damp was also damaging
the big wooden armours of the ceiling and the strong wooden pillars from the
structure, so all the details in this room had to be reinforced and treated.
Nowadays, this room is kept as it originally
was: a place where the final production process was carried out, joining the
metal baths and the acids that were located in the opposite room long ago, and
the original polished one and re-polished workshops. In here we can look at two
different processes divided now by a newly built uneven wall. On one side, the
old bath buckets are located, and on the other side the polishing machines. The
presence of the "pulpo" is especially striking (a hoovering device
with different pipes which appearance resembles an octopus).
